WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW COULD HURT YOUR CHILD

It's a tragedy that could have been prevented had her parents simply taken the time to find out a bit about child safety.

Like many children who are injured in Vancouver motor vehicle accidents she was extremely vulnerable.

Why ?

The seat belt she was wearing didn't fit properly. In fact, many children injured in car accidents B.C., between the ages of four and six, are wearing seat belts that don't fit properly.

What would protect your child from injury in a Vancouver car accident ?

A booster seat.

In British Columbia, the law requires all children over 40 lbs. to be in a booster seat until they are 4"9 tall or nine years old.

Hears the thing, a booster seat will properly position a seat belt over a child's shoulder and across the chest so that the risk of death of serious injury in a car accident is greatly reduced.

It doesn't require a lot of effort for a parent to ensure that their child is properly protected from serious injury in a motor vehicle accident.

I think it's fair to say that you'd have a hard time sleeping if your child was injured in a car accident and you could have prevented it.
