WILL I NEED TO GO TO TRIAL??

If you been hurt in a car accident in British Columbia your claim for compensation can be dealt with in only one of two ways.

Either you settle your case or you go to trial. One or the other.

What is mostly likely to happen with your ICBC injury claim ? Well, roughly 95% of these cases are settled.

But, each case is like a snowflake. They're all unique.

Why ?  Each person's circumstances are just a little bit different. And as a result, the way everyone is affected by their injuries  is a little bit different.

Now, as a general rule, it's the more severely injured people whose cases go to trial. But, even if your injuries aren't disabiling you still have the option of taking your case to trial if ICBC's offer of settlement isn't appropriate.

Here's the thing.  Each case has particular circumstances that need to be looked at when making the decision as to whether it's better for the injured individual to take the case to trial or accept a settlement. And different people have different wishes and needs.

But in the final analysis understand this.  If you've been injured in British Columbia as a result of another drivers wrong doing you can choose whether to settle your case or take it to trial.
