You were were crossing the street.

Maybe you were on your way to Starbucks, get a slurpee from 7-11 or headed home after getting off the bus.

And you get hit by a car.

You were in the middle of a crosswalk. Crossing with the benefit of the pedestrian signal. And the intersection was well lit.

WHAT can you expect ICBC to say?

Typically ICBC trys to pin all of most of the responsibility for a pedestrian accident on the pedestrian.

" You should have seen the car coming towards you"

" A car makes noise, you should have heard it coming towards you"

" You weren't wearing any reflective clothing"

etc., etc., etc....

WHAT you need to understand is that its up to you to prove the driver who hit you is responsible for the accident.

That's right. You are responsible.

WHAT this means is that compensation for your injuries hinges on your ability to prove the motorist who hit you was responsible.

No proof. No dice.

No compensation for you pain and suffering, lost wages, medical expenses, etc.

 WHAT's my point?

Take the question of who's responsible for your Vancouver Pedestrian Accident seriously.

Don't just assume that everthing will fall into place or that it's a slam dunk.

Because when it comes to pedestrian accident proving responsibility is complicated and detail intensive.
