"Victoria should stop mooching off ICBC..."
This year the provincial government of B.C. will be scooping roughly $257 million dollars out of ICBC's coffers.
At the same time ICBC has announced that it'll be seeking to increase the cost of basic insurance by a little of over 4%.
What am I missing?
Isn't the money British Columbians pay for auto insurance intended to be used to pay claims?
Why should people who insure vehicles in B.C. be subjected to what essentially amounts to a hidden tax when they pay for their auto insurance.
Ok. So there's a long history of governments in B.C. dipping into ICBC's corporate coffers. BUT does that make it right???
Questions, thoughts, want to chew the fat on this issue.
