Tips to Negotiating with ICBC

It's just business.

Really, for the ICBC adjuster who's handling your case that's all settling your case is.

Your ICBC adjuster is just doing their job.

Yah, I know. For you it's very personal.

I get it. But take a step back and think about the person you're going to be negotiating with.

Each ICBC adjuster has a different personality and styple.

Some ICBC adjusters try to be intimidating. Some don't appear to be very interested in their job.

Others can be pleasant and easy to work with.

Remember for them it's just a job.

As for you, if you're trying to negotiate a settlement of your claim, be friendly but don't try to become friends with your adjuster.

Be calm, cool and polite. Regardless of your ICBC adjuster's attitude.

And at the end of the day, make sure you hold your ground. Don't settle for less than your case is worth.
