You started negotiating with the ICBC adjuster. And before you knew it your case was settled.

Did you think about what a settlement of your injury claim really means?

I'll tell you what it means. Unless something very unusual happened... you're done, finished, at the end of the line.

You can't reopen your case to ask for more.

So if you settle your ICBC claim and need more treatment than you anticipated. Tough luck.

And if you miss work in the future that you didn't account for. Too bad.

Or maybe you thought that your injuries were only going to last for a couple of  months and they ended up lasting alot longer. Your problem. Not ICBC's.

Here's the thing. Before you settle your ICBC injury claim make sure you've thought things through.
