Port Mann Bridge de-icing system not ready

As of November 7, 2013, the Port Mann Bridge de-icing system is not ready.
So, if you're a motorist who crosses the Port Mann you'd better hope that the snow holds off and the temperature stays above zero.
Otherwise, it's "ice bombs" away!
Am I paranoid? Is this post based on "Chicken Little" thinking?
I gather you've forgotten the chaos of December 19, 2012, when ice bombs fell like rain on the Port Mann.
So, what's the word from Transportation Investment Corp, the company that's overseeing the bridge and Hwy #1 expansion?
Well, according to an article featured in the November 6, 2013, edition of the Province Newspaper:
" The sweeper ( snow sweepers) are being reinstalled on 152 of the 288 bridge cables that cross the roadway."
And, to take it a step further, Max Logan of Transport Investment Corp. told the Province:
" They will be ready before we get any snow.."
Keep your fingers crossed !
