Being involved in a car accident is scary.

You're probably upset, confused and unsure what to do.

It's only natural to go through what you're experiencing.

But understand this... losing your head following a car accident could cost you!

So do you best to avoid a few key mistakes.

First, don't assume that you caused the accident. Making an "off-the-cuff" remark regarding responsibility for your accident could cost you.

Second, if you're giving a statement/talking to police following your accident, stick to the facts. And don't admit fault.

Third, always contact the police following a car accident and ask that they attend at the scene. And if police do arrive, make sure you get their permission to leave before departing.
