Involved in a crash with a Translink Bus?
So you got into a car crash with a Translink bus ....happens all the time on the roads of Greater Vancouver.
And one of the causes of these "bus accidents" is the way bus drivers "merge" into traffic.
Awhile back the "Rules of the Road" where changed in B.C. - vehicles were required to yield the right of way to transit buses who are merging into traffic.
The problem, though, involves the manner in which some Translink bus drivers have come to "interpret' their right of way.
Some Translink bus drivers seem to think that it's perfectly OK to swerve into traffic just infront of oncoming cars. Resulting in either a collision with the side of the bus or a rearend accident.
Other bus drivers pull into oncoming traffic and force vehicles in close proximity to their bus to chance lanes suddenly. Guess what happens - a sideswipe accident.
And on and on it goes.
The bottom line here is that Translink bus drivers cannot simply "merge" into traffic without regard for the safety of the occupants of other vehicles on the road.
Involved in a collision with a Translink bus? How did the bus "merge" into traffic?
