Hwy 99 Car Accidents - Tis the Season
" Two women are dead and two others are in hospital after their vehicle crossed a median on the Sea-to-Sky Highway Saturday morning and slammed into an oncoming vehicle.
Just after 7:30 a.m. Saturday, a Jeep Cherokee travelling north on Highway 99 lost control at a corner about five kilometres north of Lions Bay and crossed a median. The Cherokee hit an oncoming Chevy pickup truck."

Unfortunately, it seems that Hwy 99 is where it happens during ski season.
Drivers are anxious to hit the slopes.
And you can't blame them.
But despite the improvements made for the 2010 Winter Olympics, Hwy 99 is still a mountain highway.
It still features section of roadway which need to be navigated cautiously.
Because speed and the twists and turns along Hwy 99 are a dangerous combination.
