Jonathan Forero is a 19 year- old native of Columbia who suffers from brittle bone disease.
Jonathan recently underwent surgery to his legs and has had to use a wheelchair to get around.
Just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday November 5th Jonathan was struck by a car in the 13300-block of 95A Ave., in Surrey.
And the worst part is the motorist who hit Jonathan sped away.
That's right. The motorist who hit a guy in a wheelchair didn't stick around to help!
As a result of being hit Jonathan suffered a broken left collarbone a broken should blade and both his legs were fractured.
According to an article in the Nov 8/13 edition of the Province Newspaper, Jonathan has a message he wants to pass along to the driver of the vehicle which struck him:
" Be responsible for what you did... I wouldn't have gotten mad I would probably understand. It was probably an accident or he didn't see me... At least he should have stopped and seen how I was. But he just kept on going. Take responsibility."
The car which struck Jonathan is believe to be dark purple and similar to a Honda Civic.
Would anyone how has information regarding this accident please contact the Surrey RCMP.
