Comprehensive Car Insurance 101

If you own a car in BC you've probably bought insurance.
But what exactly are you purchasing?
One thing you can purchase as part of your policy of insurance is what's called Comprehensive Coverage.
Comprehensive insurance provides you with coverage for almost in cases of an accident or a collision. It's a blanket term to incudle a whole host of things that might happen to your car such as:
> damage caused by a hailstorm or flood;
> damage caused by something falling on your car such as a tree;
> damage caused by an act of vandalism
So what isn't covered by your Comprehensive Coverage?:
> damage sustained in an accident or collision (i.e damage to either property or people);
> medical benefits;
