Matt Stanfield became a PGA of Canada golf professional in 2005.

And in 2007, Matt suffered what he describes as, " pretty severe soft tissue damage.." as a result of a car accident.

Quoted in a May 23, 2013, article in the Vancouver Sun, Matt says, "... I'm always going to have back issues".

In fact, despite the passage of approximately five years, in the fall of 2012

Stanfield says :

"  I was in the process of moving of some things around my place when I picked up something and twisted, and that was enough to put my back out." ( Vancouver Sun - May 23, 2013).

Most people think that " soft tissue injuries" always heal up. " Ah, it's just a whiplash... you'll get over it within a couple weeks... two months tops".

Really ? Not if you believe Matt Stanfield.

What's the moral of this story ?

Be very, very careful before you settle your whiplash claim with ICBC if you're still having ongoing problems of any significance.
