Powerful or Forceful - What Type of Personal Injury Lawyer are You Looking for?
Your personal injury lawyer might just be one of the most important people you’ll ever meet. No, this isn’t a post about how great I am – I’m not that kind of guy. It’s an honest assessment of the role that your lawyer could play in your life.
Think about it this way.
What if you’re unable to work as a result of your accident? What if your injuries mean that you’re unable to look after your children or that you need medical support for life?
If you’ve been injured in a car or pedestrian accident then the chances are that your life is about to change. Whether in the short or long term, your injuries are going to impact on your life and it’s up to your personal injury lawyer to make sure that you are properly compensated for them.
So what kind of personal injury lawyer should you choose?
In my mind personal injury lawyers can be divided into two camps. The powerful and the forceful.
So what’s the difference?
Forceful lawyers are the guys out there who’ll try to dazzle you with their success. They’re the ones who shout as loudly as they can about the number of cases they’ve won or the compensation they’ve helped their clients to claim. You can spot these guys from a mile off. Forceful lawyers try to compel people. But just because they shout the loudest doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the best person for the job.
On the other hand powerful lawyers are strong silent types. They don’t feel the need to broadcast their success from the rooftops or dazzle potential clients with claims about how great they are. They’re calm, they’re in control and most importantly they know how to get the job done. They’re powerful because they don’t need to tell the world how good they are; instead they let their actions do the talking.
So when it comes to putting your future in a personal injury lawyer’s hands who would you rather choose? The guys who spend their time trying to convince you how great they are, or the guys who get the job done?
