Choosing A Lawyer - Beware of Big Promises
Choosing a lawyer to handle your ICBC injury claim isn't an easy proposition.
There's a lot to weight and measure.
Just a few of the things that you should consider when evaluating a lawyer include ( and this is by no means an all inclusive list) : their experience handling similar cases; their past trial record; the way in which they communicate; their ability and willingness to explain things to you clearly; the way in which their firm operates; the extent of their support staff.
As for Big Promises. Well, BEWARE.
Choosing a lawyer on the basis of their "promise" to achieve a precise outcome is a very risk proposition.
You see, ICBC injury claims are fluid. A good deal of the "evidence" isn't readily apparent at the early stages of a claim.
Because, when it comes to ICBC injury claims, a good deal of the evidence "develops" over time. In other words, the out come of any particular case often depends on how various things "pan out".
So, be cautious. Beware of hiring a lawyer to handle your case on the basis that he made a BIG PROMISE regarding the outcome of your claim.
