Car Accidents on the Coquihalla Hwy. - The Hidden Danger

Driving on the Coquihalla Hwy. during winter months can be treacherous.
Snow. Ice. Big Rigs.
There's a lot to contend with.
And unfortunately, it's not unusual for people to get seriously injured when involved in a car accident on the Coquihalla Hwy. during the winter months.
But what doesn't get much attention are the injuries which can result from what happens following a Coquihalla Hwy. accident.
What am I talking about?
Let me explain.
Supposing you live in the Greater Vancouver area.
I'll bet you think the thing to do following a car accident is to get out of your vehicle and exchange information with the other driver.
Right?
Well, if you do that following a winter accident on the Coquihalla Hwy. you stand a good chance of being struck by an oncoming vehicle.
And to add insult to injury, you can anticipate that ICBC will contend that any injuries you suffered were a result of stepping out on to the highway when it was unsafe to do so.
So please! Be very careful when exiting your vehicle if you're involved in an accident on the Coquihalla during the winter months.
Have you been injured in a car accident on the Coquihalla?
I'd be more than happy to do what I can to help.
