In his letter to the editor of the Vancouver Sun ( Nov 6/13) Mr. Tom Robb takes a swing at cyclists.

Mr. Robb says:

" In his article about road rage directed at cyclists, Michael McCarthy suggests the use of small video cameras to record the outrageous behavior going on these days on our Vancouver streets. This is a great idea, but videos should be taken of cyclists not by cyclists...."

Unfortunately, Mr. Robb's perspective adopts that held by one faction engaged in the tribal warfare that is the battle between cyclists and motorists on the streets of Vancouver.

Really.

Isn't it time these two groups laydown their weapons and adopt a more constructive attitude towards one another.

In the final analysis, the thinking amongst these two constituencies should be driven by the issue of public safety as opposed to the current "turf war" like rhetoric.
